FORWARD VISION IS OFFERING for Lindbergh Foundation Auction ONE EVS-100, an STC installation kit and “flipper” display.
In fixed wing and rotorcraft applications, pilots using this thermal imaging camera system prevent runway incursions by clearly identifying runways, taxiways, buildings, parked aircraft, and people while taxiing, taking off and landing during night time and low visibility. Runways, buildings, clouds, lakes, and fields can be identified while airborne on approach, greatly enhancing situational awareness and pilot safety during critical flight operations.
For a complete description of EVS, its operation, and use—as well as actual in flight video and industry magazine reviews—please visit the Company's website at www.forward-vision.net A good review of the Forward Vision EVS camera in action is Marcus Adolfsson's review of his Cirrus Perspective EVS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r3PeTARwfw and a complete description of the EVS installation can be found on the Forward Vision website.
Also included in the Lindbergh Foundation bid package:
- STC KIT: includes harnesses, switches, annunciators, and etc. needed for installation and proper documentation. STC Kit is specific to certain models, so be sure your airplane is covered by one of the STC’s allowing installation on your aircraft.
- Flight Display Systems (FDS) Model FD90AID "FLIPPER" DISPLAY: A 5" stand-alone screen mounted in a position specified by the STC, frequently to the glareshield. Many pilots choose this standalone display even if their MFD's will show EVS image, since the flipper image is larger and is displayed in the "eyes-forward" line of sight.
