Lindbergh Foundation Named as
Beneficiary of Lightspeed Aviation Foundation

 MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (July 29, 2010) — The Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation has been named as one of twenty charities that will be a 2010 beneficiary of Lightspeed Aviation’s newly formed foundation, created to actively support aviation growth, education and works of compassion.

The Lindbergh Foundation advocates the balanced use of innovation and technology to benefit all life on earth.  It serves this mission using three key approaches: the Lindbergh Award, Lindbergh Grants, and education.  “We are very excited about the opportunity to receive $10,000 from Lightspeed Aviation because we have taken deliberate steps to focus our efforts on supporting tangible, measurable, and sustainable work to help address the environmental impact of aviation,” said Larry Williams, Lindbergh Foundation Chairman, President and CEO.  “These funds would be a tremendous help to us in furthering our goals.”

The Lightspeed Aviation Foundation is partnering with all members of the pilot world to actively support aviation growth, education and works of compassion. Allan Schrader, president of Lightspeed Aviation, says, “This Foundation has the values of our company at its core.  We hope it will enable pilots everywhere to participate with us in advancing aviation’s impact in our world.”

All pilots are invited to vote at Lightspeed Aviation kiosks at participating air shows throughout the year, or by going online to LightspeedAviationFoundation.org. A link to vote is also available on the Lindbergh Foundation’s web site at www.lindberghfoundation.org.  The top five charities, as chosen by the pilot community, will each receive a check for $10,000 in November 2010.

Additionally, Lightspeed Aviation customers can also participate by designating a portion of their purchase, ranging from $25 to $50 of any recent purchase to one of the nominated charities. They can indicate their gift designation at the time they register their new headsets online at LightspeedAviation.com
