To fulfill its mission, the Lindbergh Foundation administers several awards and events each year. The Foundation offers the Lindbergh Award to an individual for his or her significant contributions toward the Lindbergh's vision of a balance between technological advancement and environmental preservation. An annual event is held around the time in May when Lindbergh took-off on his famous New York-to-Paris flight, and takes place in different cities around the United States.
The 2009 Lindbergh Award Celebration was held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
